I’m writing this with a heavy heart. My dear friend John Morrow passed away Sunday night after an accident over the weekend. He was surrounded by loving family and friends as he made his transition. John was truly a dear friend to so many, and his absence is deeply felt. With everything happening in the world right now, I keep hearing John reminding me of what really matters. The whole point is love. As I grieve the loss of this beautiful human from the earth plane, I want to share these words from my heart, in honor of the way John lived and loved.
The Whole Point Is Love
In honor of John Morrow
John knew something simple that most of us spend a lifetime forgetting:
that the whole point
is love.
Not love as an idea.
Not love as an achievement.
Not love saved for when everything is perfect.
But love as breath.
As music.
As devotion made ordinary.
He loved with his whole being.
Music lived in him,
and he let it move
through his hands,
his voice,
his listening.
He loved his family
deeply,
always finding waysto be together.
He loved his friends
Hard.
Wholeheartedly.
Unreservedly.
Always there with a hug,
a shoulder,
a listening ear.
He loved his students,
devoted to their becoming,
seeing who they were
before they could see it themselves.
He loved animals
unconditionally,
selflessly.
He loved the Lord
with reverence,
wonder,
and trust.
And yes—
he loved to travel,
far and wide
[iykyk].
John was a walking, breathing heart.
He didn’t hoard love.
He didn’t postpone it.
He led with it.
And he lives on
as Love
in all our hearts.
I know John would want the same for you—
to let love lead.
Love,
Deb
P.S. I’m still on my healing dental journey in Mexico, so I won’t be teaching PranaShakti this week. Our precious Jodie will also not be teaching on Wednesday. Jodie was John’s best friend, and her heart is carrying a tremendous loss. Please hold her gently in your prayers and loving thoughts as she finds her way through this time.
