Be The Lighthouse, Not The Storm

It’s 5:33 in the morning, and I just came inside from watching the total lunar eclipse. The clouds kept teasing me — parting just enough to let that reddish moon peek through, then drawing the curtain closed again.

As I sat down to journal, it struck me that when shadow appears — in a nation, in a relationship, or in our own bodies — it doesn’t mean the light is gone. It simply means something is standing between us and it.

The real question isn’t, "Why is there darkness?"

The question is, "What wants to come back into alignment?"

And that question made me think about something that has been in “darkness” for many of us: the feminine archetype of the United States.

Did you know the United States has a feminine archetype? Most of us have never been introduced to her. She stands atop the Capitol dome and appears at the opening of Columbia Pictures films, holding a torch — steady and luminous.

Her name is Lady Columbia. She has been called the soul of the nation.

She represents liberty, harmony, dignity, and moral courage — not noise, not faction, not reactivity — but steadiness. Principle. Presence.

And as I watched that eclipsed moon this morning, it felt incredibly timely that inside the House of Shakti this month, we are working with her — not as a political symbol, but as an archetype to embody.

What does it feel like in your nervous system to walk in dignity instead of reactivity? How do we hold courage without hardening? What does it mean to stand steady above the noise — to be the lighthouse rather than the storm?

These aren’t abstract questions for us. We’re going to move them through our bodies. If you feel called to join us, you can find us here….or you can come dance this energy with me this week.

I hope you can join me!

Love,

Deb
