When the world feels heavy, remember the light

This Friday arrives layered with meaning.
A New Moon, inviting us into stillness and intention.
The close pass of 3I Atlas, reminding us that we are part of a vast and mysterious cosmos.
And we stand at the threshold of the Winter Solstice, the ancient turning back toward the light.
This season has always been about light…light kindled in darkness, and hope tended when the world feels heavy.
This week also carries grief.
On the first night of Hanukkah, violence shattered lives and hearts.
At the same time, families in Ukraine, Myanmar, Gaza, Israel, Sudan, and places many of us cannot even name are living inside fear, loss, and profound uncertainty.
Different stories.
Different histories.
The same human cost.
Kabbalah teaches certainty in the Light - the knowing that even when the Light appears veiled, it’s never absent.Ein Od Milvado.
There is nothing outside the Light.
In Matthew 5:14 Jeshua taught the same remembrance when he said:
“You are the light of the world.”
In Aramaic, this points not to a metaphor, but an identity:Antun nura d’alma
you are the living Light that illumines the world.
I don’t have answers. But I’m using this moment to bring light wherever I can.
Not to take sides, not to explain it all. Just to remember.
That beneath every flag, faith, and border, there’s a human being who wants to live and love.
That fear can be loud, but light can move quietly.
And that even what feels hidden—grief, truth, or hope—has a way of finding the light when we meet it with care.
As this New Moon opens a quiet field of possibility, may we plant intentions rooted in compassion.
As the Solstice approaches, may we trust the slow, faithful return of light.
And may we become keepers of harmonic coherence, through which light continually reemerges. (which is exactly what we’ll be exploring together in January in The House of Shakti)
May the Light be revealed through us.
May the Light soften the hearts of the world.
🕯️ ✨ Love, Deb
P.S. This week’s PranaShakti class is an invitation to embody what we’re remembering:
