Moving to Mexico!

¡Hola!

I have big news! I'm about to embark on a 6-month adventure living in Guanajuato City, Mexico!

If you've been following my journey for a while, you may be aware that I've moved quite a few times in my life. However, this move holds a special significance. In the past three decades, every relocation I've made has been for the needs of others or “practical.” But now that my boys are grown and thriving, and I’m single, I'm moving solely for my own enjoyment and exploration. It's a very unusual feeling. In fact it feels really awkward! You know what? It also feels life-affirming, which is why I’m sharing it with you.

Many people have asked “Why Guanajuato, Mexico?” Let me share a few reasons:

  • I love the local culture and language. Fun fact: I was a Spanish and French teacher for 7th and 8th graders in the 80's!

  • The moderate climate means that I can keep my windows open for most of the year.

  • No need for a car! I can walk to most of the places I need to go.

  • I found a precious casita to rent that provides high-speed internet, enabling me to continue dancing with you online!

  • My friend Britt Steele lives a 25-minute walk away in her beautiful retreat center where I’ll host my Deep Dive retreats (yes, you’re invited!). Britt and I will collaborate to create some amazing classes for local women.

  • Being in the Central Time Zone makes it convenient to connect with my private clients, friends, and family in the US.

  • There are non-stop flights to Leon airport, just 35 minutes away, from major cities in the US.

¡Mi casita!

As I set off on this adventure, I invite you to join me in spirit, and to consider what adventures await you in your own life. Whether you're traveling to a far-off land, starting a new hobby, or taking a class, there's always something new and exciting to discover.

With excitement, curiosity, and a few jitters,
Deb
