Instead of a Resolution to Fix Yourself…

This week I'll be “coronating” 8 amazing women in the culmination of a powerful 6-month Deep Dive program with me. They are the first group to go through this process, and I’m simply in awe of their miraculous transformations.

Here’s the thing. These 8 women were already complete and whole. They didn’t need “fixing.” But, they did need support in unfolding into the fullness of their beauty, delight and sovereignty.

As I reflect on their discoveries and growth, I’m reminded of the following poem by Chelan Harkin.

It’s easy to get caught up in “New Year’s Resolutions” that make you feel like there’s something wrong with you and that you need to fixed.

Instead, my hope is that you use this “New Year” moment to dream about the possibilities and to become “more and more in awe of your unfoldment into a wellspring of enlivened mystery.”

The Idea of Finding Yourself

Don’t get too hung up
on this idea of finding yourself.
Some of us are essence in motion—
a dance,
not a freeze frame.

Let the particle
of your identity crash
into a wave of light.

God will catch it
and ride you
to a new shore
of unforeseen discoveries.

Darling, what’s to find?

There is nothing solvable
about the soul.

Self-discovery is simply
to become more
and more in awe

of our unfoldment
into a wellspring
of enlivened mystery.

Love,
Deb
